Changes in the economic and information landscape of higher education and technology demand that academic libraries develop new solutions to meet changing user expectations, and prepare our organizations for future directions. All academic library Associate University Librarians, Associate Deans, Assistant Directors, or equivalent ranked senior personnel who are interested in discussing organizational change are welcome to attend.

Join in the conservation about training in your library. Share your ideas, find out trends, and meet new people. This is a great way to kick off your conference with other innovative friendly library folks. All are welcome.

Orientation for International Librarians

Meet as many professionals as you can... with Speed Networking! Join ALSC for this exhilarating evening as we put a new spin on the classic speed dating structure. Participants will be organized to move around the room- meeting new people and exchanging ideas every couple of minutes. The event is free and light refreshments will be provided courtesy of Disney-Hyperion.

Community & Junior College Libraries Section Social (ACRL-CJCLS) to be held at TBA with an advance ticket cost of TBA, by deadline TBA.

Think you know all there is to know about young adult literature and YALSA's book awards and book lists? Then come show off your knowledge at this event! Cash bar and light refreshments. Donations will be collected at the event for YALSA's Leadership Endowment, which will fund future leadership-focused efforts, such as student scholarships, mentoring programs, leadership institutes and more.

The best part of Emerging Leaders is all of the people that you get to meet. So, this meetup is for all of the Emerging and Emerged Leaders in ALA. If you’ve been involved in the program in any capacity or if you’re interested in seeing what EL is all about for next year, come by and talk to some good people. There will be many alumni here to share their experiences with the program as well as mentors from current and previous years. This is also your opportunity to have some drinks, be social, and make those important connections that will help you out years from now.
